What is RAID? , computer science homework help
What is RAID? How can it help an organization? We have discussed in how organizational networks can help improve organizational effectiveness. However, the data that travels across networks is stored somewhere. If all of our data was stored on one disk, that would be a major risk to the organization, representing a single point of failure. There is a data storage virtualization technology that combines multiple physical disk drive components into a single logical unit for the purposes of data redundancy, performance improvement, or both. This technology is called RAID (a redundant array of independent disks). Using RAID, data is distributed across the drives in one of several ways, referred to as RAID levels, depending on the required level of redundancy and performance. Each schema, or RAID level, provides a different balance of reliability, availability, performance, and capacity. Read the attached information about RAID, do additional research on the Internet, and discuss what RAID level would be appropriate for: Home UseA small businessA global enterpriseBe sure to justify your response with research and cite your references. Limit your response to 300 words, spelling and grammar count.
