Interview Process, science assignment help
The interviewthat I chose for this week's discussion was the interview of the special agentwho was up for promotion.I found several things wrong with this interviewon the interviewerspart. The interviewer was unable to focus on thetopic at hand and did not ask any probingquestions. The interviewer wastalking only about her personal experiences and did not care what the other specialagent had to say about his accomplishments. The interviewer also did notmaximize the information that was obtained which according toColwell,Hiscock, & Memon, (2002) is importantin interviewing and obtaining information. One of the good things I did noticewas that the person being interviewed for the promotion maintained hiscomposure and attempted several times to redirect the conversation back to whatit was intended to be. The interviewee also noted his accomplishments as thepoint of the interview was to see if he would be eligible for promotion. Hestayed on topic and focused solely on the facts. Despite the interviewer beingsomewhat derogatory in that she was somewhat insulting him, the special agentstayed focused on his goal.Colwell, K.,Hiscock, C. K., & Memon, A. (2002).
