make changes with or without communication, writing homework help
Please do a paragraph about this post with this instruction .post most have 4 or more sentences . you also have to have a high quality post from a content perspective. This means it also needs to do more than agree with or praise a class mate. If you agree with a classmate, explain why, give an example, share what you learned in the readingsI feel that when a new individual makes changes on a unit there is always some level of unknown. Staff that have worked together are aware changes will ensue and wonder what will those changes mean for them? So when someone steps in and makes changes without any communication, it already sets a bad tone for what will occur in the future. Many factors regarding this lack of communication, for those that will have to work under those conditions will arise.Possible conflicts that could arise would include: no communication,no regard for how the staff working the unit feel and would feel. Lack of concern for their response or input will immediately leave staff feeling devalued and not involved in decisions. Staff will also have ill feelings toward the new person and their ability to trusted and be a good change for the team/department. These changes leave little room for staff to feel like their opinions or ideas even matter, making them feel dissatisfied with the new leader before they have met him or her. To avoid such conflicts, I have always felt that those affected by any change should be included in the decison. Rather than being told here is the changes, no one ever wants to hear that nor would I want to be the individual that staff already has a bad outlook on. To prevent these from occuring, staff need to be informed of who the person is, what do they stand for and will they stand up for staff? Will they listen to staff and champion for changes that affects them? Someone who is concerned about their own personal gain and no one else, will not last long, I have seen it happen again and again, staff leave, transfer to other units and then that individual moves on and has disrupted the enitire unit. Staff must be included, valued and heard by others and especially their leaders, otherwise they will leave for better working conditions, leaving the unit short staffed and no longer an effective team.Managing these conflicts would be to communicate to staff, listen to their concerns, ideas and opinions and understand their fears and frustrations. Validate their feelings and be supportive to them and the upcoming change. It allows a successor to move into the position and bring positivity to the unit rather than managing staff that are never going to give them a chance.
