WEEK 7 INDIVIUAL FOR JUSTICE IN THE COMMUNTY

People can become afraid of crime even when they are not direct victims. The media can have a heavy influence on this. For example, people will see that a murder took place within a certain community. The response by some who see the report on television might be to install an alarm system or put bars on their windows. Please answer the following questions:Why is fear of crime so pervasive? Why does it seem to exist even when there is no logical reason for it? How can the police deal with something as amorphous as this? Please remember that your homework assignment should be written in your own words. You cannot simply find an article and cut and paste it and then submit it as your assignment. You should use scholarly resources to support your opinion, however citing your work and giving authors appropriate credit is very important.
