It has a strong workforce of five hundred and forty one workers,a CEO and managers who head different departments. This family business has astrong support from all stakeholders since its customers are also influential inits success. Nevertheless some ethical challenges such as critics fromenvironmentalists are setbacks in its operation. However the company was ableto solve the ethical problem by creating a committee for ensuring trees isplanted in areas where the company has cut down some for use as its rawmaterials.Some of the most significantethical issues that the company should pay much attention that may notcurrently be experienced are the trust and integrity issues (Mellahi, Morrelland Wood, 2010). The fact that the company is a family business it takes into considerationspossibility of broken trust within the family members. Moreover trust issuesmay also be experienced between the employees and their owners. A longtimerelationship may be broken by a simple mistake and thus such small mistakesshould be prepared for to avoid cases of trust issues in future.Secondly the company as it is successfullygrowing in its field of timber industry it may decide to expand its operationsin other areas. Therefore the issue of decision making may be a challenge tothe firm (Trevino and Nelson, 2011). This is mostly likely to occur as aresult of some family members not willing to expand their business to some ofthe ideal areas but prefer others. Conflicts may arise as a result of familymembers not being in the same agreement. In that case the family businessshould allow for other professions that are not family members to be amongboard members or stock holders who may assist in decision making by suggestingthe importance of expansion as well as the risks of expansion.The world climate is changingand is becoming difficult to predict how the weather will be unlike in the pastwhere people were aware of the different seasons. People in the past were awareof when to expect the rains and in what time they would be expected to stop.Therefore environmental issues may also cause some ethical challenges (Grebner,Bettinger and Siry, 2013). Trotree may fail to plant trees in different regionsas a result of the weather being unfavorable for planting. In that case trustissues between the company and environmentalists may arise as a result of thecompany failing to comply with the agreements of planting trees. In this caseit is not the fault of the company but rather the weather. Trotree should thusbe ready for such challenges which are unpredictable and address them as majorissues of concern.
