or a Lack of Discipline?
After reading the case, please answer the following
questions:
1.
What risks did the manager take by
deciding to try coaching Bob and help him fix the situation? To provide a
high-quality answer, consider all stakeholders of the manager.
2.
Think about the preliminary discussion of
Bob and his boss before choosing what Bob would do apologizing and promises in
front of his team. Use the two coaching models – GROW and CBC – and formulate
aspects of discussion.
2a. Formulate two
questions for the first three steps of the GROW model – goal,
reality, opportunity – that the manager will ask Bob (totally 6 questions)
2b. Formulate two triads
of questions that the manager will ask Bob given the Cognitive behavioral
coaching:
Example: Bob, what did
you think about … on Saturday –> How did you feel about this thought(s)
-> Bob, what did you do/did not do in response to your emotion? (3 x 2
triads = totally 6 questions)
